List three important qualities women should have to succeed?

A woman who is successful succeeds because she is Unapologetically Strong.

  • Knows her worth, Born delicate her strength is forged in the fire of gender bias and the crucible of discrimination.

Levels Up as She Levels the Playing Field

  • She makes room at the top and around the proverbial table

Alters The Rules of The Game

  • Contributes her female energy and perspective to diversity and Demands gender-equality

What are some of the biggest challenges that women face today as the world is everchanging?

Time management, Self-care, and Overcoming possibility blindness.

How impactful will it be to have a Black woman supreme court justice?

For America to see its first Black woman in a seat of power on the highest court in the land will not only become a watershed moment in history but also a unique point of pride for all Americans. This victory is made even more incredible by the enormous power this decision has to shape U.S. history, resurface the terrain of social justice, push the needle in the right direction towards gender equality, while simultaneously inspiring young, Black girls across the nation to achieve professional success and attain leadership positions in their own communities.

Women and people of color need to be better represented in a range of influential positions, not just federal courts. While the Supreme Court nominee has already demonstrated her commitment to diversity and equality, we can continue to strive to promote more women and people of color at other levels. I am excited about the Chief Justice of the United States being a woman of color. For me, she represents the face of progress, the face of justice, the face of diversity, and the face of change. As Supreme Court Nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson takes her place in history, she takes her place in a long line of diverse judges who have moved the nation forward by representing different experiences, different areas of law, and different points of view — all of which combine to bring about better, more just decisions for the American people. This appointment is a long-awaited step towards greater diversity and gender equality in the world. Being the first woman of color to become a Justice, her perspective will be invaluable in dictating key decisions that help shape policies for decades to come.

The future looks bright for diversity, as this appointment shows that progress is being made. This is a fresh start for America. She has a tremendous career ahead of her and I wish her all the best.

Who is your favorite historical female figure? What do you admire about her?

I have so many — Winnie Mandela for her boldness, tenacity, and perseverance.
